So, Nimi ~ I am coming to this now, long after the incredibly successful fundraiser, and more than a year after Bri’s courageous, peaceful death.

Thank-you for preparing this lovely radiant flower in her honor. It’s a BEAUTY! Just like she was….and makes me think of her spirited personality and overflowing optimism.

Wonderful post! Though I’m just shy of a decade older than Michael Jackson, he always seemed so much younger. I think it was his emotional vulnerability….the beautiful ‘boy’ in him that I admired when we first heard him sing and that I always felt in his energy….and saw in his eyes.

Often couldn’t bear to look at his photos as his appearance changed so radically from the surgeries. Also, couldn’t bear to read the nasty articles casting doubt and judgment on his personal struggles.

But all that will fall away with time. What will remain and what we all will remember is his brilliance, musical & dance creativity and innovation. My first reaction to hearing of his death was tears, not of grief, but relief. He’d paid his dues. MJ was FREE!
