One day in June, while blogging I heard of Bri and came to know about a fundraiser by Jugalbandi. Bri is a young lady who is fighting strong to live with breast cancer, as normal a life as it can be lived. She is a food blogger, and a single visit to her site figswithbri will reveal her energy and enthusiasm in life.
What made me think is the fact that, though I know the importance of life, I always fail to appreciate it. Complaining and arguing for every little thing, failing to give an ear to the ailing body and wasting the life energy for all the unnecessary small things. I tend to appreciate it only when I fall sick or face an accident and the like. When I saw Bri through her site, it reminded me the importance of life and how she is living her life to the fullest, with all the efforts she can give.
Coming to the fundraiser, it is a photo contest called CLICK, which the Jugalbandi team conduct every month. The theme wasYellow for Bri. When I went through it, I realised Yellow is considered as the colour of “hope”. As I have just entered the blog world, I couldn’t participate in that but thought of writing few thing for Bri over here. I managed to get a beautiful flower from my garden and with the help of technology added a touch of glow and here, I present this flower to Bri, as a ray of hope for getting better everyday and to go on strong.
As I’m unable to help her in any other way, I keep praying for her well being. And there are many other well wishers who helped her wholeheartily. With prayers of all those who love her and with a strong support of her family, let us hope that we will see her soon writing and leading a much happier life.

So, Nimi ~ I am coming to this now, long after the incredibly successful fundraiser, and more than a year after Bri’s courageous, peaceful death.
Thank-you for preparing this lovely radiant flower in her honor. It’s a BEAUTY! Just like she was….and makes me think of her spirited personality and overflowing optimism.
Thank you so much Cynthia for your concern to visit here and read this blog, even at this point of time.
And thank you so much for your appreciation.
